More Paris & Chantilly!

Last week my friend Andre came to visit me in Paris. It was a great week exploring Paris more! Some of the highlights were the Musee de Musique, Refuges des Fondues, and a daytrip to Chantilly, a town with a chateau outside of Paris. The Musee de la Musique was awesome cause it had all sorts of old and modern musical instruments from all over the world. Plus, the museum gives you a little audio guide so you can hear what most of the instruments sound like.

Refuges des Fondues has been on my to do list since I first heard about it, and my wish finally came true when I went this week with a bunch of friends! It is a fondue place which serves wine in baby bottles. Literally. Like not a baby bottle as in a little bottle, but a baby bottle as in what babies drink from. I still defintly perfer raclette to regular fondue, but the atmosphere was fun, and really where else you can you drink an alcoholic beverage from a baby bottle?

My favourite part of the week was definitely Chantilly though. Chantilly is a small town outside of Paris, and yes it is the home to Chantilly whipped cream! This is the first place I've visited in France outside of Paris, and I loved seeing French culture in a more quaint setting. The main attraction in Chantilly is the Chateau de Chantilly which houses a museum, beauitiful gardens, aaaaand a kangaroo enclosure!

dog statues/paintings everywhere!

The past two weeks have been so much fun with spring break and a visitor, but it looks like I finally have to start getting back to real life today. (Nothing like a 9AM midterm to to start your day) :/
